You can find our office at 10 / 825, right by the Tin Batti Chowk in Ichalkaranji. This part of the country is very well known for its textile industry, so there are shops and small factories on every corner. We are part of the Gajanan Hogade Group, which sounds a bit more formal than we actually are. My father started this business a long time ago and we have just kept it running the same way ever since. It isn't a corporate setup by any means. It’s a loud and busy place where we manage the different stages of the textile work. The sound of the power looms in the background is just part of the atmosphere here. We spend a lot of time talking to local traders and making sure our fabric meets the right standards. Being in the Kolhapur district means we see a lot of different people coming through for business. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden desks and stacks of old ledgers. It might look a bit cluttered to someone else, but we know exactly where everything is. It’s a family-run operation, so everyone has to help out. If a driver is running late, I might be the one down there helping to get the truck loaded up. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just want to get the orders right and out on time.
