Out here on Pundi Road, things are pretty straightforward for us. We are located near Rasoi Dhaba, which is where most people stop when they are hungry. Being in Village Pundi means we see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. It is a bit out of the main Sangli district center, so it is a lot quieter here than in the city. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons, and the air is dry. We spend a lot of our time checking the machines and making sure the crates are stacked up the right way. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do. We started this because there was good space available here. The air feels better than in the town. Sometimes the trucks get delayed on the road, which messes up the whole schedule for the afternoon. When that happens, we just sit on the plastic chairs outside and wait it out. There is a stray dog that hangs around the gate, and we feed him some leftovers sometimes. Inside, the floors are made of concrete and it stays a bit cooler than outside. We do not have a big office, just a simple desk with a lot of papers on it. Everyone here knows their job. We do not talk much while we are working because the noise makes it hard. When the day ends, we just lock up.
