Gulmohar Cafe

If you ever find yourself on the Sangli Miraj road, you’ve probably passed by Gulmohar Cafe at least once. We are located right at Mission Chock, which is always noisy with bikes and buses going past. We started this cafe because we wanted a place where local folks could just grab a quick bite and a strong tea without any fuss. It’s a small shop, and sometimes the chairs don't all match, but we keep it as clean as we can. The kitchen gets really hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going at full speed. We get a lot of students from nearby and people who work in the offices around the circle. It’s not the kind of place where you sit for hours on a laptop; it’s more for a quick chat and some snacks. The walls have been painted a few times, and we have some old pictures up. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the view of our sign, but people find us anyway. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the tables to making the food. It’s a lot of work, but we like the crowd. The morning rush is the busiest time when everyone is heading to work. We just try to get the orders out fast so nobody is late. It’s just a simple local cafe for the Miraj community. It gets dusty with the road being so close, so we are always cleaning. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us doing everything. We serve what's ready.
