Purlbee Warpers and Sizers is located out in Akiwat, which is in the Shirol Taluka area near Kolhapur. Our address is House Number 1426. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s a good spot for what we do. The air is a bit clearer than Mumbai, that’s for sure. We handle warping and sizing, which keeps the machines running quite a bit. It’s a noisy place when everything is going at once. We’ve got a small team here, mostly local folks from the village and nearby areas. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. By midday, the sun is really beating down on the roof. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception desk. You just walk in and you'll find someone near the machines or at the back checking the yarns. Sometimes the power cuts out, which is just part of living in this district, so we have to plan around that. We take our lunch breaks together, usually just some home-cooked food brought from our houses. It’s a simple way of working. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or websites. People around here know where we are if they need us. We just try to do a decent job with the threads and keep the business moving along year after year without making much of a fuss.
