Padashwini Cotton Textiles Private

We’ve been working out of Walrekar Mala in Kabnoor for a while now. Most people know this part of Ichalkaranji for the textile work, and we are right in the middle of it at H.No. 2096/4. Dealing with cotton is just what happens here. My family and a few others started this up to keep the looms running. It’s not always easy keeping up with the machines, but we manage. Some days the dust gets everywhere, and the noise from the neighbors' sheds is constant, but that’s just life in Kolhapur. We handle the cotton as it comes in. Most of our day is spent checking the thread or making sure the packing is done right before the trucks arrive. It’s a busy spot near the main road, so there’s always someone stopping by to ask about orders or just to chat. We don’t have a big fancy office, just the work floor and a small space for the paperwork. Everything we do is focused on the actual fabric. If you walk down the lane past the local shops, you’ll find us easily. The weather here in Maharashtra gets pretty hot, which affects how the cotton behaves, so we have to watch that closely. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. We just try to get the orders out on time and hope the electricity stays steady for the shift. That is pretty much our daily routine here at Padashwini.
