We've been at 15, Jmp Market for a good while now. Chitra Chowk is usually quite noisy with all the traffic passing through Polan Peth, but you get used to it after some time. Shahunagar is where we spend most of our days, mostly just moving bags of tea around and making sure everything is where it should be. Most people around here know where we are. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop with tea stored in bins and sacks. Some days are busier than others, especially when the new stock comes in from the trucks and we have to find space for everything. We don't do much other than focus on the tea. My hands usually smell like tea leaves by the time I go home in the evening. The floor gets a bit dusty from the dry leaves, so we sweep it out every morning before the sun gets too high. It's a lot of manual work, weighing things out and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. They don't want anything fancy, just the same tea they’ve always had for their morning cup. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. The address at Polan Peth is enough for people to find us if they need tea. It's just how things have always worked here in the market. We keep the doors open and wait for the day to start.
