The office is up in Jadhav Chamber, right at number 11/A. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. From the window, you can see right across to Kolhapur Steel on the other side of P B Road. That road is always jammed with trucks and bikes, so it's never really quiet here. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and papers on the desks. Shiroli is a busy area, especially with all the transport moving through. Being in Jadhav Chamber means we see a lot of people coming and going. Sometimes I just watch the traffic on P B Road when I’m on the phone. We trade various items and it keeps us on our toes. The space isn’t huge but we make it work. Usually, there's a kettle going for tea. We have some files that have been here since we first moved in. Dealing with suppliers takes up most of the morning. In the afternoon, it’s mostly just paperwork and checking the stock lists. It gets a bit dusty because of the main road, so we are always wiping down the desks. It’s a standard trading setup, nothing fancy to look at. We just do our work and head home when the sun goes down. Most people find us easily because of the landmark across the street. It’s a solid place to work from. Sometimes the phone rings all day and other times it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We keep extra chairs for when people come by.
