Over here in Ichalkaranji, near the Awade Sub Station, you’ll find Kalawant Textiles Llp. Our address is a bit of a mouthful, H.No. 13/473/3 and G.No. 426/2, but most locals just know the area. Being in the Kolhapur district means we are right in the middle of a big textile hub. The noise from the looms around here is something you just get used to after a while. We have our own setup where we manage the textile production. It’s a busy place with people coming and going. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a sturdy spot where we can get the work done. We deal with a lot of raw materials and finished goods every week. The dust from the cotton can be a bit much sometimes, so we try to keep things as clean as possible. Kalawant Textiles Llp has been running from this Ichalkaranji location for a while. We aren't a giant corporation, just a local outfit trying to keep up with the demand. The roads near the sub station can get pretty cramped with trucks, especially on market days. We just focus on our daily tasks and making sure the fabric is moving. There’s always something that needs fixing or a machine that needs oiling. It's just the way it is in the textile business. We stay busy and keep at it every day. Most of us have been working in fabrics all our lives.
