GOLDENSTAR TEXTILES FEDERATION

Out here in Ichalkaranji, textiles are pretty much everything you see. Goldenstar Textiles Federation is located right in the middle of it, operating out of a space at Ward No. 11. It’s a busy place with the sound of looms and machinery often audible in the distance. We share the premises with Nagesh Ghantyappa Kyadagi, so it’s a very local, family-oriented feel. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just some sturdy furniture and a lot of ledger books and files. Since this is a textile hub, everyone knows someone in the trade. We spend our mornings talking to local weavers and suppliers, trying to get what we need. It’s a practical environment where people value a handshake more than a fancy contract. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write shiny brochures. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. Some days the dust from the threads gets everywhere, and we have to spend the afternoon cleaning up just to see the desks again. It’s hard work, and the weather can be quite hot in this part of Maharashtra, but we’ve been doing this for a while. We aren't looking to change the world, just keeping the federation running and helping the local trade move along in our own way. It’s a simple life here, centered around the cloth we produce.
