Bhagwati Fabrics LLP is situated in Ichalkaranji, right opposite the Mahesh Seva Samiti. Our address is 5/369/370. This area is quite active, and having the Samiti across from us means there are always people around. Ichalkaranji is a hub for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by peers and competitors alike. Our workspace is pretty traditional. We have piles of fabric everywhere and the sound of the machinery is the soundtrack to our lives. We don't use any fancy management software; we mostly rely on our notebooks and our memory. The days are long and we often work six days a week to keep things moving. We take our tea breaks outside on the step so we can watch the street. It’s a tight-knit community here in the textile district. If someone runs out of a certain thread, they just walk over and borrow some. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. The building itself is nothing special, just a place to store the looms and the finished goods. We try to keep things as clean as we can, but cotton dust gets everywhere. It’s just the nature of the job. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation. We just want to keep the family business running and provide for our workers. It’s honest work and we’re used to the daily grind.
