Bachpan A Play School

We run our little play school out of Bungalow Number 2 in the Girideep Apartment complex. It’s located on Vishwakarma Road in the Pratibhanagar area of Kolhapur. Since we are in a residential spot, it feels more like a home than a stiff office or a big institution. We’ve got a few rooms set up with mats and colorful blocks for the children. The kids are quite young, so most of our day is spent watching them play and making sure they learn to share their toys. It’s messy work sometimes. There are crayons on the floor and spilled water from lunch boxes, but that’s just how toddlers are. We don’t use any corporate talk or marketing phrases here. We just talk to the parents when they drop their kids off at the gate in the morning. We’ve been in Kolhapur for a bit now and the neighbors are used to the sound of kids singing their nursery rhymes. It’s a small operation. We have a couple of helpers who are really great with children and know how to keep them calm. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just rely on people in the neighborhood telling each other about us. It’s a practical place where kids can be kids for a few hours while their parents are busy with work. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even when the children have other ideas and want to run around. It’s a nice way to spend the day.
