Tribe Spices

Tribe Spices is tucked away on the first floor of building 65 in Shastri Nagar. It's right on Infopark Road in Kakkanad, which is usually packed with cars and people going to their IT jobs. Up here, though, it’s a bit different. The smell of turmeric and pepper is always hanging in the air, even when we aren't grinding anything. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us working in a couple of rooms. We get the raw spices in big sacks and then we spend our time cleaning and sorting them out. It’s dusty work, and we all end up with yellow fingers by the end of the shift. The space is a bit tight because we have so many containers stacked up against the walls, but we make it work. We chose this spot because it's easy for deliveries to find us, even if the traffic is a nightmare in the evenings. Most of the people around here are busy with tech, but we are doing something much more traditional. We don't have fancy packaging with gold foil or anything. We just use plain bags that keep the air out. Sometimes the grinder makes a lot of noise and we can't hear the phone ringing, but that's just part of the day. We like being in Kakkanad even if it feels a bit crowded sometimes.
