Our place is right on Beach Road. We’ve been here for a long time, and the sea breeze is just part of the daily routine now. We use P.B. No. 4621 for most of our mail. The building is old, but it holds up well against the salt air. We handle trade and various goods that come through this area. Most of the day is spent on the phone or looking over ledgers. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping because that’s just how we’ve always done it. The office stays relatively cool even in the summer because of the high ceilings. We aren't a high-tech outfit. We prefer the old ways of doing business, where you know the people you’re dealing with. Sometimes the trucks get backed up on the road outside, but we don't mind the noise too much. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on getting the shipments sorted and the paperwork filed. It’s not flashy work, but it’s steady. You can see the water from the front of the building if you stand in the right spot. We like the location, even if the building needs a bit of paint every now and then. It’s just where we belong. We keep things running the best we can every day.
