Our place is on the first floor of the Sreerangam Building on P J Antony Road in Palarivattom. It’s a busy street with plenty of traffic, but once you come upstairs to Wild Sahya, it’s a bit more relaxed. We are into things related to the outdoors and nature. Maybe it’s gear or trips, but mostly it’s about the Sahyadri mountains we all love. We aren't some big travel agency with shiny brochures and sales scripts. It’s more like a group of people who enjoy being outside more than being inside. The office has maps on the walls and some old boots in the corner. We spend a lot of time on the phone or answering emails from people who want to see the wilderness. We don't try to sell people stuff they don't need. If the weather is bad, we tell them to stay home. We like the rough side of nature, not the five-star hotel version. Palarivattom is a good spot for us because it’s central, so it’s easy for folks to drop by and ask questions about trails or gear. Sometimes we just sit and talk about old trips we took years ago. The building is a bit older, and the stairs creak a little when you walk up, but it suits us just fine. We just want to help people get out there and see what’s left of the wild parts of the world.
