Gulf Plaza Hotel

We’ve been here at Gulf Plaza Hotel in Kakkanad for a good while now, right near the Civil Station. It’s a busy spot because of all the government offices around us. Most people who stay with us are here for some kind of paperwork or official business. We try to keep things simple and clean for them. The building is not new, you can see that, but it does the job. Usually, the lobby gets a bit crowded in the mornings when everyone is checking out or asking for directions to the collectorate. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the start, so they know the area well. If you’re looking for something fancy with a pool, this isn't it, but if you need a bed and a fan that works, we’re here. The traffic outside can get a bit loud during peak hours, especially with all the buses going toward the city. Sometimes the rain here is so heavy it makes a real racket on the roof. We just focus on giving people a place to rest after a long day of running around. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we make sure there is plenty of water. We don't have a big fancy menu, just some basic stuff that fills you up. It’s just us running a local place, trying to make sure the rooms are ready when the next person shows up tired from their travels.
