We’re situated at 34/137A along the N H Bypass in Edapally. If you’re driving through this part of Kerala, the traffic can be quite something. Our building is right there where all the action is. At Eastern Condiments, we deal with a lot of spices and seasonings. The smell around the facility is usually quite strong—lots of turmeric, chili, and coriander in the air. It’s something you get used to after a few days. We’ve been at this for a long time. It’s a large operation, but inside, it still feels like a group of people just trying to get the packaging right. We have trucks coming in from the farms and other trucks leaving to take the products to the shops. It’s a constant cycle. The warehouse is always full of bags and boxes stacked high. Sometimes the machines need a bit of tinkering to keep them running smoothly. We don't have a polished corporate headquarters. It’s a functional space designed for moving goods. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so there’s a local feel to the place. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations. We’re more concerned with making sure the spice blends are consistent and that the bags are sealed properly. It’s honest work that involves a lot of lifting and moving. We just stay focused on the daily production numbers. It's a busy environment but we've got a good routine down now.
