Cochin Masala Stores

We have our shop located at No. 58-68-33 on Broadway, which is in the Shenoys area. If you know Broadway, you know it’s one of those places that never really stops moving. There is a lot of history in this part of town, and we are just one of the many stores lined up along the street. We specialize in masalas, so our shop always has a very strong scent that you can notice even before you step inside. The shop number covers a few sections, so we have a decent amount of space for our bins and bags of different spices. It is a bit of an old-school setup. We don't have any modern computer systems or fancy displays; we just use the same methods we have used for years. Most of our day is spent weighing out powders and seeds for the customers who walk in. Broadway can be quite noisy with all the traffic and the street vendors, but we are used to the chaos. We have been in Shenoys for quite a while now, and we have a lot of regular customers who wouldn't go anywhere else. It’s hard work, especially when the heat picks up in the afternoon, but we just keep going. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We are just a masala store on Broadway, doing the same thing every day and making sure we have what people need for their cooking. It’s a simple, honest business.
