Rimpu Ceramic

Our business, Rimpu Ceramic, is located at residence 303 in Barardari Punjabiyan. We are right near the railway crossing, which is a big part of our daily life here. You can’t really miss the sound of the trains going past, and sometimes the whole place shakes a little. We have been here for a good while, dealing mostly in ceramic tiles for floors and walls. Because we are in a residential area, our space is a bit tight. We have boxes of tiles stacked up high in every room and even out in the small yard area. It’s a lot of work to keep everything organized so we can find the right patterns when people ask. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a warehouse feel where you come in and we pull out samples from the crates. Ceramic is fragile, so we spend a lot of time carefully moving boxes and checking for any cracks. It’s a lot of manual labor, and your hands get pretty rough from handling the cardboard and the stone. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the inventory. People from around Barardari know us because we’ve been here so long. We don't do any big promotions. We just open up and wait for the locals to come by when they need to fix up their kitchens or bathrooms. It’s a simple life, despite the noise from the trains.
