Subham Academy

Subham Academy is situated on Old Sadar Thana Lane in Puri. It’s a part of the Nuagada Basti area, which has a very local, community feel to it. Living and working in Puri means we are used to the salty air and the pace of a town that sees a lot of visitors. However, our lane is a bit away from the main tourist spots, so it’s mostly just residents and local businesses around here. The building is a simple structure that fits right in with the other houses on the street. We don’t have any big flashy signs, just a small one so people know they’ve reached the right door. The address is Old Sadar Thana Lane, Puri - 752001. Inside, we have a few rooms set up with basic furniture. I usually spend my mornings sweeping out the sand that blows in from outside. It’s a quiet place for the most part, though you can hear children playing in the lane or the sound of someone’s radio nearby. We have been in this spot for a while and the neighbors are all very friendly. It’s not a corporate office; it feels more like a home that has been turned into a place for learning. There are some old wooden cupboards where we keep all our supplies and books. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a space for people to come and learn in a familiar environment.
