Government Women'S (Degree) College

This college has been a part of Puri for a long time. People around here just call it the Government Women'S (Degree) College. Being in the 752001 area, we get a lot of students from the town and even from the smaller villages further out in the district. It’s a government place, so things usually move at their own pace here and there is always a bit of a wait for something. The hallways are long and have that old building smell, which is a mix of paper and dust. Most of the women who study here are trying to get their degrees while balancing a lot of things at home. You’ll see them sitting under the trees between classes, sharing notes or just talking about their day. The administrative office is usually cluttered with big stacks of forms and old registers that go back years. It can be a bit chaotic during the admission season when everyone is trying to get their paperwork sorted before the deadline. The staff here has been around for many years, so we’ve seen many groups of students come and go. It’s not a flashy campus with modern glass buildings, just solid stone and brick that has stood the heat and the salt air from the coast. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait for it to come back while the students keep working in the dim light. It feels like a very traditional setting for learning.
