Gandhi Institute Of Excellent Technocrats

We've been out here in Gangapatana for a while now. The campus at Santi Niketan is a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s quiet. Most of us get here early because of the bus schedules. The buildings are what you’d expect for a technical institute in Khurda. There’s always someone fixing something or students sitting around the common areas between their labs. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the brick buildings, so the fans are always going. We spend a lot of time organizing the workshops and making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the schedules and the exams. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait on it to get the paperwork done. The local shops near the Kantabada post office are where most of us grab a quick snack during breaks. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular spot where people come to learn and work. You see the same faces every day, and everyone kind of knows everyone else’s business. We have a lot of files to keep track of, and the office desk is usually covered in papers. It’s a busy life here, but it feels like home after you’ve been here for a few months. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the trucks go by, but inside it’s just the usual hum of computers and people talking in the halls.
