Samanta Chandra Sekhar (Junior) College is right in the heart of Puri. The address is just Puri - 752001, so it’s pretty easy to find if you are in the area. This is a junior college, which means we have students who are just finishing their school years and getting ready for the next big step in life. The building is an older one, reflecting the coastal air and the history of this city. We don't have any of the fancy, modern glass walls or high-tech labs you see in the big cities. It is a very simple place with basic classrooms and wooden benches. Students from all over Puri and the nearby villages come here. You can see them walking through the gates every morning with their bags, often talking about their classes or the latest news. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and the teachers are just regular people who have been doing this for years. It’s not a corporate school where everything is polished and shiny. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait for it to come back, and the students just keep on with their work. It is just a place for learning and growing up a bit. We are a part of the local community here, and we just keep things running as best as we can without any fuss or big advertisements. It’s just how things are here in Puri, plain and simple for everyone.
