Ramanujan Academy Of Mathematics

Ramanujan Academy Of Mathematics is based at Plot No. 18 in IRC Village, Bhubaneshwar. We are in the Nayapalli area, 751015. It is a residential neighborhood mostly, so it is quieter than the main roads. We focus entirely on math here because that’s what we know best. The academy is basically just a few rooms filled with the smell of chalk and old paper. Math is a subject that scares a lot of people, so we try to make it feel a bit less intimidating. We don't have any high-tech gadgets. It is just a board and some markers and a lot of practice problems. Sometimes we spend an hour just on one single equation until everyone in the room understands it. The humidity in Bhubaneshwar can make the classrooms feel a bit stuffy in the summer, but we have fans going all the time. Students come from all over the city to sit in these small rooms. We don't do any big advertisements. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends. We have a lot of old books on the shelves that anyone can borrow. It feels more like a study group than a big school. We just want people to stop being afraid of numbers and actually pass their exams. It’s a lot of writing on the board and clearing it off again. Simple as that. We just keep working through the numbers until they make sense.
