Prananath Autonomous College

Prananath Autonomous College is located in the Mukund Prasad area of Khurda. Being an autonomous college means we handle a lot of our own stuff, like exams and results, which keeps the office staff very busy throughout the year. The campus is spread out a bit and has plenty of trees that provide shade when it’s hot outside. The main building is quite old and has that specific smell of old paper and chalk dust. We have a large number of students who come from the 752055 pin code and surrounding areas. The gate is usually crowded in the morning with students on bicycles and motorbikes. Our benches in the classrooms are made of heavy wood and they’ve been scratched up by generations of students. The office is always a bit cluttered with stacks of forms and registers that need to be signed. We don’t have a polished front desk; it’s just a counter where students stand and wait their turn. It’s a practical place, focused on getting through the syllabus and finishing the exams on time. We don't really have any marketing people or anyone to make things look fancy. It’s just us, the staff and the teachers, doing what we do every day. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, and the college feels like a stable part of the community here in Khurda.
