Mahaparbata Farmers Producer Company

Mahaparbata Farmers Producer Company is located over in Gopalpur, which is part of the Banki block. We’re right near Patapur. It’s a quiet place, mostly fields and small houses. A few of us farmers got together to form this company so we could have a bit more say in how our crops are sold. It’s tough out here sometimes with the weather not always doing what it’s supposed to. We spend a lot of time at our site in Gopalpur just sorting things out. Some days it’s about seeds, other days it’s about getting the tractors repaired. We aren't trying to be some big city business. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields pays off for our families. There’s a lot of talking that goes on in our meetings, mostly about the prices of things and who needs help with their planting. We don’t use any big words or have fancy titles. Everyone just pitches in where they can. The office is usually dusty because of the trucks coming in and out, but that’s fine. We know every corner of this area in Banki. It’s home. We’ve seen many seasons come and go, and we just keep doing what we do. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. If you need to find us, just ask for the farm group in Gopalpur.
