Odakhanda Women Farmer Producer Companylimited is a group of us women from Odakhanda Village. We are located in the Kuranjipurtaluk area of Khordha, specifically at No.07 near the Badalasasan Post office. Most of us have been farming our small plots of land for years, and we thought it would be a good idea to join up. It’s a quiet village life here, but the work in the fields is never truly finished. We handle everything from preparing the soil to the actual harvesting. Since we are all from the same village, we know each other's families and the history of the land we work on. Being a women-led group means we have to balance the farm work with everything else we do at home. It gets tiring, but we find a way to get it done. The office is just a small room where we keep our tools and some basic records. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just want to make sure our produce gets to the market and that we get a fair deal for all the sweat we put in. Khordha has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that local rhythm. It’s honest work, and we are proud of being able to manage our own business right here in the village. It isn't always perfect, but we are learning and growing together every single season.
