Kshetrabasi Dayananda Anglovedic (Junior) College

Kshetrabasi Dayananda Anglovedic (Junior) College is out in Nirakarpur, which is part of the Tangi area in Khurda. It is a bit of a journey for some of the students who come from the surrounding villages, but they make it here every day by bus or bicycle. The college is a significant spot in this rural area because it is where the local teenagers come after finishing high school. The campus is spread out with a few different blocks for the various subjects. It is not a fancy city college with elevators or anything like that. We have simple classrooms with wooden benches and blackboards. The air out here is a lot fresher than in the middle of a big city, which is nice. During the exam season, the whole place gets very quiet as everyone is focused on their books, but usually, there is a lot of chatting in the common areas. The staff here at Nirakarpur handles everything from admissions to managing the daily timetable. We have a small office where we keep all the records, and it gets quite busy at the start of the new term. Many of us have worked here for years and have seen many batches of students move on to bigger things. It’s a practical place meant for learning, and we don't try to make it seem like something it isn't. It’s just our local junior college serving the Khurda district.
