Our group, Krushnaprasad Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based in Village Bajrakote. Bulu Kumar Jena is the main contact person here. We’re tucked away in the Krushnaprasad area, where farming is the main way anyone makes a living. It’s a group of neighbors who decided to team up. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to sell our rice and pulses without getting cheated. The paperwork can be a real pain, but Bulu helps us stay organized. We usually gather in the village to talk about what we’re going to plant next. It’s not a formal boardroom, just a place where we can sit and talk. Everyone brings their own experience to the table. Some of the older guys have been doing this for fifty years. We try to listen to them. It’s a tough life sometimes, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate, but we're used to it. We don't use fancy talk or marketing slogans. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields is enough to support our families. You won't find anything polished about us. We’re just people with calloused hands trying to make a go of it. Most days are spent in the dirt, and that’s fine by us. It’s honest and it’s what we know best.
