Kharashrota Farmers Producer Company

We run Kharashrota Farmers Producer Company right across from the Mini Stadium here in Block-Rajkanika. Our spot is at Kanika Rajbati, near the police station. It's a busy little area, especially when there’s a game going on at the stadium. We started this because we needed a way to organize all the farmers in the Rajkanika area. Farming is what we know, but the business side of it can get complicated if you’re doing it all by yourself. We spend most of our days dealing with the local harvests and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. There's always something to do, whether it's checking on the grain or fixing a piece of equipment that broke down. The office at Kanika Rajbati isn’t anything special, just a place where we keep the books and meet up. We talk a lot about the rains and how the market is looking. It’s a community effort, really. We’ve got a lot of different people involved, and everyone brings something different to the table. We don’t have any polished brochures or big signs. It’s just us working together to make sure the farms stay productive. We’ve lived here a long time, so we know the people and the land. If you pass by the mini stadium, you’ll likely see some of us hanging around or moving sacks. It’s just how we live and work in this part of Rajkanika every single day.
