Bharatiya Bidya Niketan

Down in Karati Lane in Puri, things move a bit differently. We are located near the Genari Gachha, which is a local landmark most people around here know. Our building is a typical Puri structure, nothing too modern or flashy. It fits right into the neighborhood. Inside, the rooms are simple and functional. We don't have air conditioning or fancy ergonomic chairs. It is just wooden benches and old-fashioned fans that hum while we work. The lane can be narrow, so parking is always a bit of a puzzle for the students who come by. We spend our days here just going through the curriculum. There is no big marketing speech when you walk in. You will usually see one of us at a small desk, probably looking through some registers. We handle our own cleaning and maintenance. It is a very personal, small-scale operation. We like being part of this community in Puri. The air can be a bit salty from the sea, and sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees cause a bit of a distraction, but that is just how it is. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most polished center out there. We just provide a place for people to come and study in peace. It is a straightforward, local life we lead here. We just show up every day, sweep the floors, and wait for the students to arrive.
