Biswajit Memorial Science College

Biswajit Memorial Science College is situated out in Arikama, which is in the Khurda district. It’s a bit away from the main city rush, so things feel a little different here. The air is slightly clearer and there’s more space than what you find in the middle of a big town like Bhubaneswar. We started this place because we wanted something for the science students in this specific part of Khurda. The building is solid and we spend most of our time in the labs or talking about the next set of exams. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff the students need for their classes. Getting to Arikama can take some time if you're coming from far away, but for the locals, it’s right there. Most of the staff here live nearby or commute from the surrounding villages. We see a lot of hard-working kids who really want to make something of themselves. The days go by fast between the different sessions. In the afternoons, you can see groups of students sitting around outside discussing their notes before heading home. We aren't a huge university, just a science college trying to do right by the people in our area. It’s quiet, it’s functional, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
