Jagdish Bose Farmers Producer Companylimited

We are over here at Mig-9/11 in Aryavihar, which is in the Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar. A bunch of us got together to form Jagdish Bose Farmers Producer Companylimited. It is not a fancy office at all. It is just a place where we keep our registers and meet up to talk about the work. Most days we are out talking to people in the fields or trying to figure out how to get things moved from one place to another. It gets very busy during the planting season and then everything slows down a bit when the weather turns. We handle a lot of the small details that individual farmers find hard to do on their own. Khordha is a good place to be, but it has its share of problems with the soil and the water. We try to help out where we can. It’s mostly just hard work and hoping the rains come at the right time. There isn't much more to it than that. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting on plastic chairs talking through the plans for the next month. Being in a city like Bhubaneswar helps for some things, but our hearts are really in the dirt outside the city limits. Sometimes the paperwork gets to be a bit much with all the rules for producer companies. But we just keep at it, day after day, trying to keep things moving.
