It’s more of a home-office type of situation than a big corporate building. We focus on helping people find jobs and helping companies find the right staff to hire. It’s mostly computer work and a lot of phone calls. The I.R.C. Village area is a nice, settled part of the city. We’ve been here long enough that we know the postman and the neighbors. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks, computers, and a lot of lists. We spend our days looking through resumes and talking to folks who are looking for a break. It gets busy during the hiring seasons. Sometimes the power goes out, but that’s just life in Bhubaneswar. We don’t have a big fancy website with flashy graphics, we just try to connect people. It’s straightforward work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help local people get decent jobs. People often drop by to leave their papers or just to ask questions. We try to be helpful as much as we can. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. No big bosses breathing down our necks, just us doing our thing in Orissa for the local community and trying to stay organized through it all.
