Our place is right near the railway station in Vallabh Vidyanagar, so we hear the trains coming and going all day long. It is a familiar sound now, and it helps us keep track of the time without looking at the clock too much. Being in the Anand district means we are right in the thick of things. The workshop is where most of the action happens. We spend our hours dealing with various engineering tasks, and it can get a bit loud and messy when things are really moving. It’s not a quiet library here, that’s for sure. There is always a smell of metal and maybe a bit of machine oil in the air. We’ve got our tools spread out where we can reach them, and the floor isn't exactly spotless, but we know where everything is. The staff here has been around for a while, and we just get on with it. Sometimes we sit outside for a quick break when the sun isn't too hot. People coming from the station often walk past our gates, and it feels like a very connected spot to be. We don’t have any big corporate signs or fancy reception desks. It’s a straightforward engineering shop where work comes first and appearances come a distant second. We just handle the jobs that come in, fix what needs fixing, and prepare for the next day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
