Aquenos Family Style Restaurant

We are right across from the Faculty of Pharmacy on College Road. Being so close to Dharamsinh Desai University means we see a lot of students every single day. They usually come in groups, talking about their exams or projects. The place can get quite noisy when the classes let out. We’ve got a family-style setup because that’s what seemed to fit the space here in Nadiad. It’s not a very big building, but we make it work. Most of our morning is spent doing prep work in the kitchen, chopping things up and getting the stoves going. The heat from the kitchen usually drifts out into the dining area by noon. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure people get their food on time. The furniture has some scratches on it from years of use, but we think it’s fine. We like being on College Road because there’s always energy outside. You see the motorbikes zooming past and people walking to the university. Sometimes the rainy season makes the road a bit messy, but customers still find their way in. We just focus on keeping the tables clean and the water jugs filled. It’s a straightforward life here. We don’t really do anything special, we just show up and keep the doors open for whoever is hungry. That is basically our whole routine from morning until we close.
