Sfs High School sits right on Kusumanchi Road in Kothuru. It’s a place that most of the local folks are familiar with. The school isn't new, and you can see that in the way the paint has weathered over the years, but it’s a solid building. We spend our days here dealing with the usual high school stuff—teenagers running around, bells ringing, and teachers trying to keep everyone focused on their books. The classrooms are basic, with rows of desks and plenty of windows to let in some air. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually keep the doors open. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s events. There’s a bit of a yard out back where the students hang out during lunch. It’s not a manicured lawn or anything, just a patch of ground where they can kick a ball around. Most of us who work here have been in Kothuru for a long time, so we know the families and the history of the area. We don't have a lot of expensive equipment, so we make do with what we've got. It’s a straightforward kind of life. We show up, do the teaching, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s just a normal school for the kids in this part of town, providing a place for them to learn.
