Gorkey Public School

Gorkey Public School is out in Mallemadugu Village, which is part of the Kaikondai Gudem Division here in Khammam. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it’s a good spot for the local kids to have a place to learn. The building is a simple structure, and we try our best to keep it tidy and welcoming for the students who come in every morning. We have several classrooms and a small area where the kids can play during their breaks. It’s a community effort, really. Many of the parents work nearby in the village, and they stop by to check on how their children are doing. We don't have all the high-tech gadgets you might see in a city school, but we have books and teachers who care about what they are doing. Every morning starts with a lot of noise as the buses arrive and the children run to their spots. We focus on the basics like reading, writing, and math. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the roads nearby, but we just sweep it out and keep going. The Khammam Municipal Corporation oversees the area, so we follow their rules and keep things above board. It’s just a local school trying to give the village kids a decent foundation for their future. Everyone knows everyone else around here, which makes it feel like a big family. We are just glad to be a part of the kids' lives.
