Bright Child School

Our school is located in Chaitanya Nagar, specifically in the Khanapuram Haweli part of Khammam. The address is 15-5-101. It’s a pretty standard building for a school in this area. We have two floors and a set of stairs that the kids are always racing up and down. The walls are painted a light color, though they have some handprints here and there. We have a small room we call the library, but it’s really just a few tall bookshelves with whatever we’ve managed to collect over the years. During the monsoon, the yard gets a bit muddy, so we have to tell everyone to wipe their feet before coming inside. The classrooms are simple, with enough desks for the kids and a small table for the teacher. We don't have air conditioning, so the ceiling fans stay on all day long. You can hear the neighborhood sounds, like the local vendors calling out or cars honking on the nearby road. 507002 is a decent place to be. We have a small gate that we lock at night. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and lunch boxes. We just go through the lessons day by day. It’s a humble place, but it’s where we spend most of our time. Bright Child School is just a part of the local scenery here in Khammam.
