Our trading business is located at Plot Number 78 in the Athur Sidco Industrial Estate. We are right off the Salem Bye Pass Road, near the Vennamalai Post. It is a good location because the trucks can pull in easily without getting stuck in the narrow city streets. We have been here for a while now. The office is just a small room at the front of the warehouse with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with various goods, buying and selling depending on what people are looking for. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, honestly. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we just have to sit and wait or use lanterns to see the ledgers. The tea stall at the corner of the bye pass is where we usually get our lunch. It’s a simple life. We don’t have any fancy brochures to show people. If someone wants to know what we have in stock, they just come by and look or give us a call. We know most of the other business owners around here by name. It’s a tight-knit spot. We try to keep things organized but with so much stuff moving in and out every day, it can get a bit cluttered. We just keep moving forward one day at a time.
