Ajit Exports

Ajit Exports is located at No. 5 in Gandhipuram, which is a part of town that never really seems to sleep. Our office is tucked away, and we’ve got a lot of boxes piled up almost to the ceiling most days. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking where everything is in the shipping process. It’s not a very quiet office because there’s always a truck backing in or someone shouting about a missing manifest. We get our tea from the stall across the way, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon when things get stressful. The walls are covered in calendars and maps because we have to keep track of a lot of different dates. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just trying to make sure the orders we have get handled without too many mistakes. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around talking until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup with a few desks and a lot of packing tape. Most of the people working here have been with us for years, so we all know how the others like to work. Gandhipuram has a lot of traffic, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a headache, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It’s just honest work day in and day out, and we hope the boxes arrive on time.
