Balas Export

We are based at 53, Sri Bharathinagar, just off Kovai Road. It’s a decent-sized spot for Balas Export. The building is painted a simple color and has a small yard in the front where we sometimes park the bikes. Being near Kovai Road means there's always a bit of traffic noise, but it’s helpful for getting goods in and out quickly. Inside, the space is divided into a few different rooms. One room is for packing, another is for the paperwork, and then we have a spot where we keep the finished items. It’s not very modern, but it’s functional. We have a couple of ceiling fans that stay on all day to keep the air moving because it gets quite stuffy. We’ve been here at number 53 for several years, so we know the layout by heart. There’s a specific way you have to jiggle the front lock to get it to open. The staff is just a small group of local people who live nearby. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon when the energy starts to dip. We don't really have a website or do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who already know us or through word of mouth. It’s a straightforward operation. We show up, do the exporting work, and head home when the job is done. Sri Bharathinagar is a good place to be. The rain sounds really loud on the metal roof during the monsoon season. We usually have to shout a bit to hear each other.
