Aalishan Apparels

Aalishan Apparels is located at 10 Vivekananda Street in Sengunthapuram, right at the 13th Cross. This part of Sengunthapuram is usually quite active. We have been operating out of this building for a few years now. It’s a straightforward garment business. We have the sewing area on one side and the storage on the other. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment of cloth arrives, but we manage. My family helps out with the bookkeeping and checking the work. We aren't a big brand you’d see on a billboard. We are just a local shop trying to make things that people want to wear. Every morning we open up the shutters and start the day. There’s always something to fix or a pile of clothes to sort through. We use simple machines and hand tools for most of the work. Sometimes it takes longer than we expect to finish a batch, but we don't like to rush things too much. We know most of the other shop owners on Vivekananda Street. We talk to them while having tea in the evenings. It’s a community feel here. We don't have a website or anything complex. We just talk to the people who walk in and show them what we've made. It’s honest work and we like being in this part of town.
