Cosmocottons

At Cosmocottons, we deal with a lot of fabric. Our place is on Amman Nagar, right off Chinna Andan Koil Road. It is mostly cotton, like the name says. We have rolls of cloth stacked up to the ceiling in some places. It is a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around the warehouse. We spend our days checking the quality of the threads and making sure the weaves are right for our customers. It is quiet work for the most part, except when the machines are running. We have a few local people who help with the cutting and sorting. The light comes in through the big windows in the afternoon and hits all the different colors of the yarn. It is a practical business. We don't have a big showroom or fancy lights. Most people just come to the warehouse to see what we have in stock. We send out samples when someone asks, though it takes us a little time to pack them. It is a steady rhythm here. We have been working with cotton for years and we know how it behaves in different weather. Sometimes the dust from the fabric makes us sneeze throughout the day. We just wipe the tables down and keep going. It is a solid, local business and we are proud of the stuff we put out. It is just a normal day at the mill for us.
