V S Academy

Our academy is in Desh Raj Colony in Panipat. It is a residential area, so it is mostly quiet around here, which is good for the students who need to focus. We have a small building that we have turned into a place for learning over the years. There are a few rooms with desks pushed together to make space. We don't have any fancy equipment or big glowing signs out front. Mostly, people find out about us from their neighbors or friends talking to each other. We spend a lot of our time sitting with the kids and going over their lessons one by one. Sometimes we stay late when the exams are coming up and everyone is nervous. The walls are mostly bare except for a few maps and charts we taped up. We do all the cleaning ourselves, sweeping the floors before the first batch of students arrives in the afternoon. It is a lot of responsibility to help these kids with their future, but we just take it one day at a time. Sometimes the chai wala comes by and we take a short break outside on the porch. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in town. We just want to make sure the students who come here understand what they are reading in their books. It is a very basic operation. We have some plastic chairs for parents to sit on when they come to talk to us.
