We are located in Azad Nagar, which is right near the Main Bazar in Kishanpura, Panipat. Being so close to the market means it’s never really quiet around here. There’s a constant flow of people and traffic just outside our doors. The college is a place where people come to learn how to be teachers. Most of our students are from the surrounding villages and towns in the district. They come in every day, some by bus and some on bikes, and spend their hours in the lecture halls or the library. We have a fairly simple building with white walls that we try to keep clean, though the dust from the bazaar always finds its way in. The office is usually the busiest part of the building, with people coming in to sign papers or ask about their schedules. We have a small area where students sit and talk during their breaks, usually with a tea from the stall nearby. It’s a very practical environment. We aren't trying to be anything flashy, just a place where the work gets done. The staff is mostly busy with marking papers and preparing for the next set of classes. At the end of the day, when the market is still going strong, we lock up the main hall and head home through the crowds. It’s a good, solid routine we’ve built here over the years, and we are happy to be part of the community.
