Hotel Mid-Town

Running Hotel Mid-Town on G.T. Road is a lot of work but it keeps us on our toes. The 132103 area is quite busy, especially with all the travelers coming off the main highway. Being right on G.T. Road means we see all kinds of people, from truck drivers to families on a trip. The building itself is nothing too fancy to look at, just a solid place where you can get some rest. We spend most of our time doing the laundry and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever shows up next. I personally handle a lot of the check-ins at the front. It’s a small desk and sometimes the phone rings more than I’d like, but it’s part of the day. We don’t have a big corporate team behind us, just a handful of local workers who know the neighborhood. The walls are painted a simple off-white and the floors are easy to sweep. We try to keep the noise from the road down as much as we can, though you can still hear the big trucks sometimes. It’s an honest living, and we take pride in just being a reliable spot on the map. We don’t use any fancy systems, just a ledger and some common sense. If you need a place to stay while you’re traveling through, we’re usually here by the road, just doing our thing day in and day out without any complaints.
