Shaarika Fishnets

Shaarika Fishnets operates out of 552/2, M.S. Road, in the Vettoornimadam area. It is a pretty straightforward setup we have here. The shop is mainly used for storing and showing the various types of nets we have. Because fishnets are so bulky, they take up almost all the space from the floor to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes. M.S. Road is a busy stretch of road, so we get to see a lot of the local traffic going back and forth throughout the day. Vettoornimadam is a good community and we’ve been part of it for a fair amount of time. We aren’t interested in making the place look like a high-end store. We just want a place that is functional where we can do our jobs. Sometimes the nets get tangled or we have to spend hours sorting through a new shipment, and that is just part of the daily routine. Most of our regulars are local people who know exactly what they are looking for when they walk in. We don't do much talking unless it's about the work at hand. It is a humble business at 552/2, and we are quite happy with that. We just open up in the morning, do our bit, and go home when the sun sets.
