Aafilah Fishing Net Industries

Aafilah Fishing Net Industries is located in Thammathukonam, which falls under the Erumbu Kadu Post. It’s a bit of a quiet area, away from the big city noise. We’ve been making and dealing with fishing nets here for quite some time. The work is mostly manual and involves a lot of handling of different materials. We don't have a big fancy factory, just a place that works for us. Most of the folks around here know where we are. It’s a very practical sort of business. We spend our hours checking the mesh and making sure everything is held together right. Being near the post office area helps with getting things sent out. The pace of life here is a bit slower than in the main towns, which suits us fine. We aren't looking to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the nets we put out are decent and do the job they are supposed to do for the fishermen. It can get a bit dusty and there’s always a lot of netting lying around the workspace. We just get on with it. There’s no big secret to what we do.
