Packiyam Hollow Bricks

Down at No: 1, Kattamavadivalai in Thikangodu, you’ll find our place, Packiyam Hollow Bricks. We aren't too far from Nagercoil, so we get a lot of people coming from the city. The lot is right there on the edge of the road. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us working together to keep things moving. The hollow bricks take up a lot of space, so the yard always looks crowded. We try to keep things stacked neatly, but it doesn't always stay that way when we’re busy. I’ve lived in this area most of my life, so I know a lot of the folks who stop by. We don't spend money on advertising or anything fancy. Usually, someone just tells their neighbor about us and they show up. The weather around here can be tough on the work, especially when the monsoon hits. We have to cover everything up and wait it out. It’s a lot of waiting sometimes. But when the sun is out, we’re out there working hard. Packiyam Hollow Bricks is just a local spot. We don't have a big corporate office. Just a small desk in the corner of the shed where I keep the books. It’s a bit dusty, and the chair squeaks, but it serves its purpose. If you’re near Thikangodu, you can’t miss the stacks of bricks by the gate.
