Bee Kay Precision (India) Pvt. Ltd. is based at D-80 Site-5. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always noise and trucks moving around. We do precision work, which means a lot of time spent staring at small parts and making sure the machines are calibrated right. It can be tedious, but someone has to do it. The shop floor is where most of the action is. We have these lathes and milling machines that hum all day. It gets pretty loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. We’ve been at Site-5 for a long while. We know the other shop owners nearby. We occasionally borrow tools or help each other out if a machine breaks down. Our office is just a little room with a couple of old desks and a computer that’s a bit slow. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come to the door, one of the guys will see you and come over. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people know us because we've been around and we just do our work. The floor is covered in metal shavings that we sweep up every evening before we head home. It’s a routine. We come in early, start the machines, and keep going until the sun goes down. We drink our tea in plastic cups and talk about the cricket scores. It’s a simple life here at Bee Kay Precision. We just focus on making things.
